Forget "Atlas Shrugged", How About "Anthem"?

Have you ever read Anthem? You might want to.
And so it begins........

Every day Obamas' moves to grow government, all the while completely and fully running all aspects of private life, become more blatant and bold. First, we have the GIVE Act (PDF), which is just a new way of indoctrinating our youth and creating a Nazi Youth Camp-like "volunteer" corp.
"But the bill's opponents -- and there are only a few in Congress -- say it could cram ideology down the throats of young "volunteers," many of whom could be forced into service since the bill creates a "Congressional Commission on Civic Service."

The commission involved with this Act is also charged with finding a way to make the volunteer service mandatory. Unfortunately, mandatory is completely contrary to voluntary. As we have seen time and time again under this Administration, definitions are irrelevant.

Now, President Obama is calling for Wall Street to become less of a player in the economy. How is one even remotely related to the other? Let's take a look at this quote from Obama:
"That means that more talent, more resources will be going to other sectors of the economy," he said. "I actually think that's healthy. We don't want every single college grad with mathematical aptitude to become a derivatives trader. We want some of them to go into engineering, and we want some of them to be going into computer design."

Does it occur to anyone on capital hill that the GIVE Act will now lead to designated careers for individuals? I see a great potential for abuse through this system and now Obama has made it clear that he wouldn't want the best and brightest minds deciding on their own which career path they might take. The One will now "help" them make that decision. A very scary proposition indeed.

  1. Question: who is "we"? Did he ever hear of -- people make choices? No, probably not.
BTW, I love the "punching stupid... in the face.."
