Dole, who was speaking at an event in Kansas City, chided the party for their handling of the healthcare debate, and he said the GOP in general needed to stop "putting up a 'no' sign and saying, 'we're not open for business.'"
"I want this to pass," he added, as reported by the Kansas City Star. "I don't agree with everything Obama is presenting, but we've got to do something."
This statement of desperation is a huge mistake. Not only have actual Republicans offered alternatives to a 1,000 page heathcare bill, but few are actually acting as the "party of no". Most are just acting as the party of "this bill provides no reform, but only a take-over of the healthcare system." If your going to characterize people, at least put them in the right category.
Go by some pens Bob Dole and stop "helping" the Republican party.
Bob Dole and John McCain should start a retirement rose-pruning club and exit stage LEFT.
