It was Lame. Now it’s Just Pathetic.

When will Obama stop blaming President Bush for all his woes of today? One more time I say, "Every single President since the beginning of time has inherited the deficits AND BENEFITS of the prior Administration." All of them. Every one. Quit with the whining. It was lame the first time you did it. Now it's just weirdly pathetic.

"Obama said that the reason his budget predicts such large deficits is not because of new spending for health care, energy and education but because of structural deficits that he inherited."

No, I'm sorry but that is a complete and total lie. The reason our deficits will blow the roof off anything resembling reality over the next several years is because you are spending money in astronomical amounts on things that will not correct the situation we have now. While I completely agree that there are changes in energy and healthcare that must be explored, this approach is not the right one. Private industry (new energy) and less government intervention (healthcare) should be the things that drive these initiatives. One cannot say my account is over-drawn already, however additional checks will bounce not because I am continuing to write checks, but because of all the money I spent last year. This is just more convoluted thinking and more justification for what his true agenda is. Whether you call him a hard-line liberal or a Socialist-he wants drastic change and that change will ruin this country.

The Straw Man Goes to Washington

It would appear, as I predicted, Chrysler for sure and GM possibly, are an endless money pit into which we can throw money and lose or stop throwing money and lose. Oh joy. It seems the government has realized the automakers have no viable plan and it would behoove us to stop with the drunken spending spree and take a look around. Alas, even with this tiny bit of common sense on the surface, the truth is underneath , now we have an additional foundation beam for socialism being laid and a crisis not going unused.

Suddenly, it is acceptable for Chrysler to fail. In their ever expanding role, government is now the definitive authority in a car makers ability to continue and HOW that continuation will occur. In addition, while we were sleeping, Consumer Reports became the benchmark by which we now measure viability. If Consumer Reports doesn't like you, government won't help you. Well, for craps sake why didn't they look there 6 months ago!! Was Washington unaware Consumer Reports existed until yesterday? If they had, we would be $4 billion dollars richer today. Hell, they could have called and asked me. Chrysler has been in and out of the crapper for my entire life-I live in St. Louis-I have been well aware of their true sustainability since I was about 10.

In reference to Chrysler:

"Not only that, these sources said in no uncertain terms, its cars aren't very good either. In a conference call with reporters, a senior administration official cited several awards recently presented to General Motors cars, but could think of no industry recognition for Chrysler vehicles. "Chrysler has no cars that are recommended by Consumer Reports," the official said."

As I have made perfectly clear, I am not against letting these car companies go through Chapter 11. I am not for bailing them out. This does not feel like the truth to me though; this idea that Obama is putting his foot down and he has had enough. I don't like it. It all just seems like so much smoke and mirrors to me.

Here is what we are actually getting: The CEO of GM was "asked" to step down by the White House. You know Rick Wagoner, the man who has done more for GM than possibly any other CEO in GM's history. (Or at least in a very long time) They would have failed years ago if not for him. Interesting, still it seems they are looking for a sacrificial lamb. Also interesting? Wagoner is "asked" to step down; what about that crook Gettelfinger? Was he asked to step down after years of mismanagement and crooked politics?

No matter any of that, Washington- who has never run a business and can't run WASHINGTON-is now in control. The administration demanding cars are built smaller, with alternative forms of fuel that we do not yet have! This must be seen for what it really is-a power grab. They will rule this company by committee and if I had to guess it will be a committee of fools.

Then there is the less discussed demand of Chrysler. They have been told merge with Fiat or go bankrupt. Just a few short months ago they were too big to fail. Then the point is made that they are backed by a private investment company that won't even give them any money. Umm, just so you know this is no different than it was 6 months ago. You know, before we spent 4 billion on nothing. The most interesting tidbit of the whole thing? The merger with Fiat cannot move forward unless the government maintains the controlling interest. Now, you might say this is to protect their interest, namely the "loan" that was given. That looks like an excellent reason on paper, but I wonder how hard it will be to get them out once they're in there. I also wonder how much policy, production, and salary conditions they will impose. I wonder what demands they will make of Fiat. I wonder why anyone would get in bed with the government after what they did to AIG.

Finally, don't fool yourself; this power grab is not coincidental. Geithner is already grabbing for his. First go the financials, then goes manufacturing, who's next? Me? You? Oh, and GM will get the money in the end. They will get it because the Administration wants this stronghold.

Face Punch Wednesday

(If you are new to Face Punch Wednesday, please read this post before you complain-I don’t want to hear it.)

People I Want to Punch in the Face

100 punches Suing for helping save lives? Really? Yeah, you probably should have just let those people drown. What a waste of air you are. I HOPE you go bankrupt.

10 punches "Gimme, gimme, gimme!!" Go away-you are a liar and too dim-witted to run the f'n Treasury.

12 punches Oooo, outrage, and anger-let's all get on a bus and terrorize innocent people who were probably just doing their jobs. Wait? What's that? It all sounds too familiar? That's because ACORN paid for those buses and got those "protesters" out there. Hmmm, ya think Rahm called in a favor?

My Grandma Could do a Better Job

I find it highly amusing that the same dude who can't use Turbo Tax and didn't know the actual content of the TARP bill-even though he's the Treasury Secretary (Aren't YOU overseeing this mess?) now wants unlimited authority over all financial institutions-whether they accepted TARP funds or not. That would be like putting my Grandma (who thinks the computer is "in the monitor") in charge of my technology consulting company. The reasoning? Oh, because the government would surely know how to run a company better than the company itself. I mean really, we've seen what a bang-up job all of government has done throughout history. Yeah.....that track record doesn't suck at all.

How about this little tidbit:
"AIG highlights broad failures of our financial system," Geithner told the House Financial Services Committee. "We must ensure that our country never faces this situation again."

Umm, yeah. No. The AIG situation highlights a failure of our government and our Congress to do their jobs!!!!!!!!!!!! If one person had actually read the bill before it went for vote they would have know those provisions were in there. And please do not tell me Geithner did not know they were in there-even if that were true, then he is clearly too daft to be Treasury Secretary, um, because he was one of the architects of the bill, he should know what's in it. If ignorance of the law is no excuse, then neither is stupidity, nor poor study habits.

House Member Darrell Issa calls for Geithners' resignation, saying this:
"As one of the chief architects of the AIG bailout, Secretary Geithner was in a position to do what any lender of the last resort would do -- negotiate concessions from AIG," he said in a press release. "Secretary Geithner either didn't know about the bonuses, and was grossly negligent, or he did know and failed to bring this to the
president's attention."

Ahh, ya think?

Finally, if I have to hear one more time about how work much Geithner is doing or how tired he is I'm going to scream. Loud. If you are unqualified or unable to perform you're duties, you poor, tiny, tired, suckling baby, resign and go home.

All Your Salaries Are Belong to Us

Yep-I'm stealing that line.

So now, as we all knew would happen, Obama has designs on telling ALL financial services firms(for now) what the Executives pay and bonus structure will be. An important note-this applies whether they have taken TARP funds OR NOT.
"The regulations would reportedly cover all financial establishments, not just those receiving federal bailout aid and would likely work to ensure executive pay was in line with the financial interest of the company."

So guess what, next it will be all executives pay the federal government feels they would like to regulate. Don't fool yourself, he's coming for it all before too much longer "in the interest of the public." No doubt about it.

That's alright, pretty soon we'll have some sweet price controls to go along with those salary caps.

Socialism, Communism, Nationalism-whatever you want to call it, here we come.

Face Punch Wednesday

(If you are new to Face Punch Wednesday, please read this post before you complain-I don't want to hear it.)

People I Want to Punch in the Face

This week will be a little different. I'm going to do it more like a Wordless Wednesday, but there will be a few words.

10 punches-Yes dear, it does count when your husband's bank takes money too. Idiot.

15 punches-"Please let me print even more money-til there is no ink left in the world!" Hello hyper-inflation here we come. (hat tip Michelle Malkin)

15 punches-I'm quoting "The notion that we want to retain these people, that we want to pay the people that messed it up in the first place…" Um yeah I completely agree-WHY WOULD WE CONTINUE TO RETAIN ASSHOLES THAT DON'T DO A GOOD JOB. Um, hypocrite much? YOU need to go.

Just Say a Bunch of Words, Something Will Stick.

What a hoot it is when you can just say a bunch of words, all jammed together and make it sound like you're actually making a point.
"A smidgen of good news and suddenly everything is doing great. A little bit of bad news and ooohh , we're down on the dumps," Obama said. "And I am obviously an object of this constantly varying assessment. I am the object in chief of this varying assessment."
I can only suppose he did not know the country would look to him for leadership. Huh-what a surprise!

Then Obama went on:
"....in defense of his blueprint to overhaul the economy Thursday, declaring the national crisis is "not as bad as we think" and his plans will speed recovery."

Well that sure is good news! Just 5 days ago he said the word "crisis" 4 times in his weekly radio address-which might not be so bad, until you realize the speech was only 5 minutes long. Nearly once every minute. Soooo, thank goodness that's over. Whew!

Finally we end with this little gem:
"I don't think things are ever as good as they say, or ever as bad as they say," Obama added."

Huh? What did he just say? As good or bad as who says? Him? Other people? Do we listen to the babble coming out of your mouth or dismiss it as over-blown? Or is it a case of "Hey guys while I'm talking to the actual business owners everything is cool. Oh, it's OK, just keep on doing what you're doing. If you quit who would I steal from?"

This is going to be a loooong four years.

Face Punch Wednesday

(If you are new to Face Punch Wednesday, please read this post before you complain-I don't want to hear it.)

People I Want to Punch in the Face

Rep. Charlie Rangel-So….another fine upstanding lawmaker on the Hill for ya-Representin' Baby! When asked about a Caddy paid for with taxpayer money, four rent-stabilized apartments received at 50% off market value (one of which was turned into a campaign office, umm yeah, illegal, asshole) and a failure to pay taxes on rental income from property he holds-he responded "Why don't you mind your g*ddamn business?" Nice. Very nice. Why don't you quit being a prick. You need to be gone. 10 punches

Donna Hanks-the ACORN worker who "took her house back". The one she bought for a reasonable $80,000, refinanced for $270,000, filed bankruptcy, got her payments reduced and then was pissed when the bank actually wanted her to pay? Ooops. Yep, that's the one. Go away stupid people-you're screwin' it up for the rest of us. 10 punches

Chris Matthews -He's a dildo on so many levels, but after the President's address, Republicans had Gov. Bobby Jindal deliver their rebuttal. Not only did Chris utter the now famous "Oh God." phrase, but then as an explanation states the GOP "outsourced" this speech to Jindal. Really, Matthews? Really? I knew you were an idiot, but a racial slur while explaining away poor judgment, is just dickhead-ish. 8 punches.

Welcome to Cry Baby Washington

Ugh, first it is Gibbs who consistently acts like a 9 year old girl in the school yard when reporters dare question the Messiah Obama. Now, we have Obama himself calling reporters to say "Hey, I didn't start it, he did!"

"I did think it might be useful to point out that it wasn't under me that we started buying a bunch of shares of banks. It wasn't on my watch."

OH MY GOODNESS-DUUUUUUUUUUUDE-we get it, you inherited everything that is wrong today. Umm, yeah like every other President before you. Geez Louise, please grow up and grow a pair. If you are not prepared to deal with the current situation the way it is……………………please resign.

Oh and I don't know if your mother ever taught you: Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because Bush screwed up and started spending like Paris Hilton in a shoe store doesn't mean you doing it bigger makes everything ok. It doesn't.

Hmmm, I wonder if he needed a teleprompter when he called these reporters.

I know of this lady on welfare.....

......and apparently she's getting ready to move in to an (almost) $600,000 house. Nice. She has gotten money by selling her story; the state of California will be picking up the tab for the care of those babies, (which will be WELL over a million. Hell, I paid nearly a million for ONE baby with very few health issues) her mom is being evicted from the house she has lived in with her 6 other kids while having no job AND NOW SHE'S MOVING INTO A HALF MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE!!! WTF??
"Sources also say the "substantial down payment" came from money that OctoMom
has been scoring over the last few weeks. As one source put it, "the money has
been coming from all over the place -- $15,000 here, $25,000 there."

I can only hope the state will go after her. I mean really, they are nearly bankrupt as it is and now she's screwing them over for everything she can get. What a load. White Trash much?

Ya' know, I couldn't care less if she has 20 kids, but if she can't take care of them financially she had no business intentionally having MORE kids when she already had 6.

What? They might file bankruptcy?

Perusing news stories this morning, I ran across this little gem-wherein GM now says there is a chance they will have to file bankruptcy. Hmmm, how interesting that now they would seek "relief" under the bankruptcy code.

"If we fail to do so for any reason, we would not be able to continue as a going concern and could potentially be forced to seek relief through a filing under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code,'' GM said."

After we gave them $13.4 billion in federal loans. Fantastic. Make no mistake, if they file bankruptcy now there is an excellent chance the American taxpayer will receive little to none of their investment back. Like I said months ago.

The reason behind the possibility they cannot continue in this manner?

"There is no assurance that the global automobile market will recover or that it will not suffer a significant further downturn," the company wrote."

That would be due to the fact that people are not buying cars. Really? I'm completely shocked. Not.

It is just bailout after bailout. They want a total of $30 billion dollars and I'm pretty sure they're going to get it. Then they will file bankruptcy, we won't get most or any of the money back and the deficit will be just that much higher. Excellent. I couldn't be happier.

Face Punch Wednesday

(If you are new to Face Punch Wednesday, please read this post before you complain-I don't want to hear it.)

People I Want to Punch in the Face

Jack Cafferty-Um, ok creepy old dude with WAAYYY too much affection for Michelle Obama's arms. First, being a hard working natural, competitive bodybuilder myself, I'm getting kind of sick of hearing about her arms anyway. Petty? Maybe. Considering I spend 14 hours a week in the gym and her arms are not that nice, I'm just sick of hearing it E-VER-Y WHERE. Anyway, this guy just goes one, super creepy step too far by announcing to the world he might "have a crush on" her. Yuck. Thanks dude-TMI 5 punches

Press Secretary Robert Gibbs- Here. Here. Here. You're a p*ssy. Go home and cry to your mommy. Stop fighting with the media. Your Dear President will be criticized and every time you fight back like that you just look stupid. 10 punches.

Neil Cavuto-I used to like Neil. Until now. I was appalled at his attitude toward the Tea Party Protesters (in which I participated in St. Louis) in this interview. It is unbelievable to me that he would come off with such venom in his attitude because it was a small protest. A) It wasn't NEARLY as small as we originally expected; asshole. and B) YOU HAVE TO START SOME WHERE. I'm pretty sure the Boston Tea Party was like 200 hundred people. 100 punches ('cause I thought you were an ACTUAL fiscal conservative.)

Conservatism, Politicking and Sweet, Sweet Tea.

"We are on strike, we the men of the mind. We are on strike against self-immolation. We are on strike against the creed of unearned rewards and unrewarded duties."-John Galt "Atlas Shrugged"

Sometime last year I decided I had had enough. I decided it was time to get involved, no longer sitting on the sidelines letting politics happen to me. So Friday, among the zillions of other small things I am doing to be more productive in politics, I had the opportunity to participate in a real live protest. Like thousands of others-maybe as many as 30,000 people in 50+ cities-I participated on February 27th in a "Chicago Tea Party" Rally. Locally, at our St. Louis rally it is estimated we had over 1,000 folks show up to express our displeasure with the ridiculous pork and taxation that is coming our way from Capitol Hill. I volunteered my time to assist in the implementation, shouted and cheered during the speeches and did what I could to once more to further and promote conservative ideals.

We did, of course, have a message that we were promoting as a whole over all-repeal the pork or we'll repeal you-something like that, which I can definitely support. Media was everywhere; the coverage was really good and in the end, mostly balanced. The organizers and we volunteers could not have been happier to see conservatives come together for a common purpose and message. It's about time. It was enough to almost make me tear up a little. Cool enough, we're even planning our next event here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=66989849578#/event.php?eid=66989849578

So what is my personal motivation? We all have a global message which the Tea Party is promoting, we're there because we agree that government and spending are out of control and our politicians are not listening to us-but I would say everyone also has a personal reason for showing up; for having passion about this issue. Mine are many, but here are just a few:

Personal Responsibility-I believe every person is responsible for their own actions. I believe your life is what you make of it. I believe no one can pull you up or make you better-you have to do it for yourself. I believe the government LEAST OF ALL can do one thing to make you a better person or somehow enrich your life. I am sick of the notion that people are "entitled" to anything simply because they were born. The only thing we are born entitled to is fair opportunity.

Fiscal Responsibility- My mom always taught me: Do the thing that will have the most impact while doing the least harm, in times of crisis. Just because America has a headache, does not mean, as a whole, we should be getting a lobotomy. It is insulting and maddening that Obama has forgotten there is a lot of gray between the black and white of action and inaction. (If you want to take that as a racial slight of some kind-go ahead-it wasn't, but some would be determined to make it so.)There were hundreds of other approaches that could have been taken that would have actually helped people who need help and given stimulation to the economy. Sadly, we must also realize sometimes you gotta suck it up. Some parts of this recession just need to happen. Some things will be painful and some people will be affected. THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE. As I have said before-it is quite presumptuous to think Obama has some magical power to stop a tornado. Rather than trying to stop it, we should be looking forward to how we will move on from it.

Political Responsibility-Every day I am more concerned with the direction of our country. I grow tired of RINO's and those in the party who are not conservative LEADERS, but only a mouthpiece. I am weary of Republicans who reach across the aisle so far they are in danger of spontaneously combusting into Democrats. When bipartisanship means Republicans will rubber stamp every bill or policy the Obama Administration puts in front of you-I want you OUT. When you say we should accept less just to get along-YOU are excused from participating. Dear leaders, if you are not going to vote ALWAYS in the interest of conservative values and principles then PLEASE LEAVE THE PARTY-I AM DONE WITH YOU. Oh, and just so we're clear-I don't really care who you are. I have never been one to go along just to get along. It's not my style and if it's yours….well you see where I'm going.

I tell my children all the time if you do not like something you must take action to change it. If you aren't going to take any action, then you have absolutely no right to whine when you don't like the results. Well folks-I am taking action. It's time our Republican politicians actually lead and bring back the conservatism this country so desperately needs.

Politicians have never shown me the value behind being and living conservatively-my family, my friends, the people I associate with and my pride showed me that.
