My date with destiny-revisited and revised.
UPDATE: looks like there is more than one Michelle Moore so you may be asked for my birth date-5/9/1970.
I know it has been a couple of weeks since I have posted here. Most of you come to read my ranting about politics and I appreciate that. We have a lot of fun around here and I have always done my best to be informative and let you, the reader, know what is happening in the world. Some of you know me personally, or feel you do at least. We might interact here, on Twitter or Facebook-in the age of the interconnected web and social media our friends and families have expanded far beyond our neighborhoods or communities.
With that in mind, the majority of you already know I have experienced two major health issues in the last couple of weeks. For those that read here regularly and didn't know.....well now you are in on it too. On December 13, 2010 I was taken in to the emergency room at a local hospital in excruciating pain. After a long drawn out ordeal and exploratory surgery, the doctors determined I had an ovary that had twisted on itself and ultimately died. This was the cause of my pain. However, in the normal course of testing upon admittance it was also discovered my kidney function had severely deteriorated over the last 5 years. Dialysis and transplant were words I had always expected to hear during my lifetime, but I thought it would be at 60 or 70 not 40. Alas, the wait, as they say, is over. With numbers falling somewhere in the 9% function range, there is no more putting off the inevitable-my non-invasive health issue has now become extremely invasive and must be dealt with.
It is my plan then, to return to blogging as usual. There will be politics and Face Punching, but from time-to-time, when it's interesting, I will also share my journey-hopefully resulting in successful kidney transplant-with you. Right now, I don't know exactly what to expect and I would assume that most regular, average, everyday, folks don't either. I have questions and I know you guys will be curious too. I have never been ashamed or particularly secretive of my illness so I'm happy to take you along for the ride. Be warned, just like my opinion on politics, I will surely have opinions about this journey and when the going gets rough or I am unhappy with how it's playing out, things might get ugly around here. Honesty and forthrightness are two qualities I possess, sometimes to the embarrassment of others, but rarely to the embarrassment of myself. There are already things that are happening that are making me unhappy, but, such is the way of things like this I suppose........we'll just have to wait it out, won't we :)
For starters we'll have a few statistics about me-what are we beginning with? Well one major number the Nephrologists look at is your creatinine . My creatinine as of the Monday I was admitted was 7.9. With the aid of re-hydration and drugs that number is now down to 5.8 at the last reading. This number is frowned upon when it goes over 1.1......I get more blood work on Monday.
In addition to this poor number, I am almost completely anemic. I have almost no iron in my system and basically no ability to produce my own. Because of this, I am also making little to no new red blood cells. Doctors don't like that. For this condition, more drugs, one of which is a shot 3 times a week.
Another thing they discovered is the size of my kidney has shrunk about half its size in the last 5 years. The last time it was measured it was around 13, now it is 7. This loss of muscle mass in the kidney is very bad. The bottom line is, my one good kidney is working way to hard and atrophying at the same time.
There were some other tests that didn't bode well for me while I was in the hospital, but it doesn't really add anything to the story to bore you with those numbers too. Let's face it, the fact is, the only thing that matters is my kidneys are crap and I need a new one.
When I woke up on December 13th I was taking no medicine on a daily basis and was feeling pretty good; at the end of that same week, I left the hospital with 12 different prescriptions and feeling as though I had been hit by a truck.
3 of the medicines they prescribed for me were for high blood pressure. When I first went to the Urgent Care my blood pressure was 179/120. Later, in the hospital it was 184/somethingequallyoutrageous. At various times in the days before they took out my ovary it stayed high pretty consistently. The docs convinced themselves I have high blood pressure. I disagree, so at this time I am not taking those prescriptions. Once I have recovered from surgery fully and have no more pain I think that will be a much more accurate reading of my blood pressure. I have never had high blood pressure. In fact it has always been unbelievably low (if you know me, you know why I say that *wink*) running 110/50-60 very reliably. I experienced some very undesirable side effects from those medications and I really hope to avoid taking them. For one the dry mouth was so bad I couldn't sleep because I would wake up choking. Not pleasant.
I am taking 4 medications several times a day that are supposed to improve my kidney function. I won't know for sure until Wednesday if they are doing their job. I will tell you the side effects of these are also quite unpleasant but I just don't feel I can stop taking them in good conscience at this time. Something I am taking is causing me severe gastrointestinal distress and making me feel nauseous most of the time. They better be working, that's all I can say.
I return to the doctor on Wednesday to get results of the upcoming blood work and find out what the next step is in this journey. I know I will get instruction on diet. I will sit with a nurse who will go over the two types of dialysis with me and I will choose which one I want. I will find out how often I have to see the doctor and how long I have until I start dialysis-which at this time I believe to be basically only the amount of time it takes to prepare me for it. I will also get all the info I need about transplant. It would be great if I could avoid dialysis and go straight for the transplant, but I don't know if that will be possible. I know the first and most major criteria for going on the transplant list (besides all the testing) is function consistently under 20%......I would say I have that beat by a mile. Other than that I don't know much.........
I have only questions right now. I'm facing my mortality in a striking, god-smack kind of way. I didn't know I was this sick and I scares me to think how different this story might have been had I not had ovary troubles-I am exhibiting no other symptoms of kidney failure. Would I have gone on like this until it was too late? Has my body learned to adjust so well to its short-comings it would have let me go into total failure with no warning? What does my future hold and what will it look like? It is hard for those around me who haven't had to face an issue like this to relate to all the emotions I am going through right now. I am exhausted, yet hard pressed to waste one more minute of my life. I am happy to know about my deterioration and that the doctors are taking steps to protect me, yet so angry to be in this situation. I want to live, but I am pissed that I have to deal with this.
I am quite a bag of tricks right now I am sure.
So there you go faithful reader. This is where we are now and you can go along for the ride if you wish....wherever that may be.

Napolitano gives 84 Million travelers from Mexico a pass, still using porno scanners on Americans.
It's ridiculous moves like this that make the American people believe our government has no idea what they are doing. While we are subject to invasive, 4th Amendment violating screenings, people from other countries can cross our boarders without a second look. People coming from countries already in disarray and consumed with violence.
As violent drug cartels take over Mexico and expand their criminal enterprises north, the United States has signed a “trusted traveler” agreement that allows pre-screened Mexican airline passengers to bypass lengthy airport security checkpoints. So while you are shamed, they waltz right through security, laughing all the way.
The foreigners will get “trusted traveler cards” with fingerprints and other biometric data and they must answer customs declarations questions on touch-screen kiosks before leaving airport inspection areas. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano claims it’s a way to enhance information sharing and mutual security in the face of “ever-evolving, multinational threats.”
About84 million Mexicans are expected to qualify for the trusted traveler program, according to Mexico’s Interior Ministry Secretary, who signed the agreement on behalf of his country this week. Celebrating the festive occasion, the Mexican government official assured that the new accord will facilitate the U.S. entry of business travelers and tourists who are key factors in economic development, growth of trade and cultural exchange.
One final point-while Janet was in Mexico she also sign a “letter of intent” to develop a plan for protecting illegal immigrants from criminal attacks as they cross the border. That's awesome Janet-are you also going to protect the Border Patrol Agents who are slaughtered on the border trying to protect American citizens?
Extending the current tax rates will cost me a frillion-billion dollars.
Amid all the talk about extending the current tax rates I am repeatedly reminded that our federal government cannot grasp the fact that my earnings are not theirs to take at my expense. In article after article (or newscast) we are barraged with the sentiment that somehow extending the current rates will "cost" the government some astronomical amount of money.
Unfortunately, if it was never yours, there is no cost. When my friend Sally didn't give me $100 dollars she didn't owe me, it didn't "cost" me $100. No this is just the entitlement mentality of our government run amok.
Senator Claire McCaskill said last week that folks should "take up pitchforks" against Republicans who wanted to "give" millionaires more money.
Rep Anthony Weiner (D-NY) told Megyn Kelly that estate tax was indeed "not" a double tax because you wouldn't be paying anything-you would be dead.
Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-N.Y.) said Wednesday on the Dylan Ratigan Show, while discussing extending the current tax rates that this was the Republican "Wet Dream Act."
If the government would learn to live within it's means and stop counting on revenue that is not theirs we would be able to stop having this discussion. Rather than making an enemy out of the job creators and perpetuating class war-fare these folks should be concentrating on cutting costs and making a budget that is within the revenue they currently get. It is a pathetic distraction from the true problems of this Administration-too much government and too much spending.
Repeat after me:
-The government cannot create money.
-The government cannot create jobs.
-When you steal less from me it is not you "giving" me anything.

Face Punch Wednesday
Bertha Lewis-Bertha seems to think Fox is corrupt and should be investigated. She also thinks folks should be called out for what they are......I'm sure she means like corrupt organizations which campaign for one party only, registers the likes of Mickey Mouse and Daffy Duck to vote and would hire and promote folks that can advise you on how to run your under-age, illegal immigrant brothel. Yeah, folks like that. For hypocrisy to the highest power 10 punches
Al Sharpton-Al really just wants Rush Limbaugh to go away. He was successful in stopping Rush from becoming a part owner in an NFL team by accusing him of false racism which now makes him feel empowered to say Rush should be taken off the air and he is just the guy to do it. Crazy Al Sharpton appeared on Crazy Ed Schultz's show, spouting off about how the "FCC has the responsibility to set standards to say the public cannot be offended based on their race or gender in this country, and you federally regulated air waves that they give licenses to that are very competitive and the FCC is very selective based on standards."In other words he wants Limbaugh to shut it and he thinks the FCC should make it happen. For offending me every time you open your mouth and being the MOST racist person I have ever heard open their mouth 10 punches

How much does it cost to dole out $7.2 Billion in Stimulus?
The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners wrote congressional leaders last month urging them to appropriate funding for oversight of the broadband grants. The extra money is necessary, the group said, to "ensure that projects are completed and implemented on time, on budget and deliver the promised economic and social benefits."Case in point that our government just doesn't get it. None of them do.
Claire McCaskill doesn't understand whose money it is-@clairecmc

The FCC schedules meeting to assert it's pretend power over the Internet
Chairman Genachowski has ditched plans to reclassify the Internet under Title II, the same regulations that apply to telephony, but will pursue plans to control how companies manage their networks and users experiences. The FCC is making this power grab under the directive issued by Congress to "report to Congress each year whether broadband service is being deployed to all Americans in a reasonable and timely manner, and if not, to take steps to make it so." Using this so-called Section 706 authority is certainly a stretch to say the least. According the the New York Times, an official with the FCC says it goes something like this:
In July, after the commission issued its National Broadband Plan, it cited that report’s finding that roughly 14 million Americans do not have broadband Internet service as evidence that broadband is not being adequately deployed.Unfortunately for Mr. Genachowski there is not now, nor has there ever been, a lack of demand for Internet Services or the deployment of additional backbone. The Internet has thrived all these years without stifling regulation from the FCC and there is no indication this demand is slowing. In the FCC case Comcast vs. BitTorrent, which is when a lot of this Net Neutrality talk was revived, the issue was never a lack of demand. Of course none of the proposed regulations would do much to increase demand either. Requiring companies to justify how and why they manage their networks the way they do and requiring them to meet government imposed content management standards doesn't do anything to inspire further investment or deployment. Providers need little incentive to make more money and get more customers beyond the lure of the almighty dollar. The Internet has reached the greatness that it is currently without government dillying. To imply these far reaching, questionable regulations will increase demand, and then deployment, is laughable.
Therefore, the official said, it is within the F.C.C.’s power to take steps that will promote the spread of broadband. Putting so-called net neutrality rules in place would help ensure that content providers can reach Internet users, which will increase the output of Internet companies, thereby increasing demand for Internet services and increasing deployment of broadband service.
The truth is anytime content has been censored or users experiences have been degraded unfairly, providers have been tried and punished under existing law. When the offense hasn't required legal intervention, they have been ripped to shreds in the court of public opinion. Pretending we need the FCC to give us freedom of speech and open access to information is disingenuous.
Letting providers manage their networks, within existing law, to provide a good user experience for all is good business. Allowing start-ups to benefit from the doors opened to them by revenue generated at ISP's from bandwidth behemoths like Google is good business. If you want to drive further investment by providers and additional deployment of backbone, you don't do it by squeezing business and calling it "fairness".
To proclaim that the only way to preserve the "free and open Internet" is to let the government manipulate content and regulate providers to death is preposterous and wrong. This is the logic of the folks who made announcement at midnight, that they would take a vote on an issue that isn't theirs the vote on, during a lameduck legislative session, on a document that is closed to public comment. Irony anyone?

The jobs that are out there are paying barely minimum wage and they are not enough to pay the mortgage and health insurance, not to mention utilities, food, prescriptions, etc. My unemployment is only half of what I was making before I got laid off and I am barely surviving on that. Taking a minimum wage job will make me lose my home that I've had for 37 years and I'll won't be able to pay for my health care. Face Punch Wednesday
Joe Scarborough: Let me start out by saying anyone who wants to compare ANY resume to Obama's and somehow claim his resume and experience qualified him to be President should expect to be punched-it's just a ridiculous compassion. Today Joe encouraged Palin's Republicans detractors to stand up and voice their opposition to her presidential run. He went on to question her intelligence and later asked "What man or mouse with a fully functioning human brain and a resume as thin as Palin's would flirt with a presidential run?" Which begs the question -What is Obama then? A human without a fully functioning brain or a mouse? When taking into consideration his ability to deal with enemies and our economy, Obama is clearly both. Because you are a mouse without a fully functioning brain 8 punches
Laura Richardson: Laura Richardson (D), recently acting as Speaker of the House, decided that abuse of power was way cooler than playing by the rules. When Rep. Steve Buyer wanted to object to a bill being brought to the floor for a vote when the Chairman was not present, the Speaker Pro Tem insisted several times it was at her discretion whether he would be heard.....even though the floor was nearly deserted and NO ONE but her was objecting to giving him one minute to speak. Rep. Buyer pointed out acts such as this (abusing power) was exactly why the American people had voted her out-and good for him! For failing to see her own ignorance and arrogance 6 punches

TSA could blur images, but they refuse.
A cheap and simple fix in the computer software of new airport scanners could silence the uproar from travelers who object to the so-called virtual strip search, according to a scientist who helped develop the program at one of the federal government's most prestigious institutes.A TSA spokesman goes on to say, he doesn't know "anything about it, that was another Administration." That's pathetic. This Administration is trampling our rights and stealing our freedom at every turn and their excuse is they didn't know about it. Doubtful.
The researcher, associated with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, said he was rebuffed when he offered the concept to Department of Homeland Security officials four years ago.
The fix would distort the images captured on full-body scanners so they look like reflections in a fun-house mirror, but any potentially dangerous objects would be clearly revealed, said Willard "Bill" Wattenburg, a former nuclear weapons designer at the Livermore lab. The scanners normally produce real-time outlines of the naked human body, and the Transportation Security Administration has been embroiled in controversy since installation of the new scanners began last month.
"Why not just distort the image into something grotesque so that there isn't anything titillating or exciting about it?" Wattenburg said.
The Livermore laboratory sent off a final application to the U.S. Patent Office on Nov. 23, 2006, and about three weeks later Wattenburg said he called the Department of Homeland Security to share the good news. The patent application is on appeal, according to government records, but the federal government owns the rights to the idea.

Security Expert Bruce Schneier says "Stop with the security theater already!"
Q: What is really being seen by these machines?
A: In theory, it sees stuff that isn't part of the body. So if you've got a stapler in your pocket, it will show up. The thought is that it will see stuff that a metal detector won't detect, like a ceramic knife. But this doesn't seem to be borne out by reality.
Q: The machines have shown up in the wake of the so-called underwear bomber, who tried to blow up a plane with chemicals stored in his briefs. Would this technology have stopped him?
A: The guys who make the machines have said, "We wouldn't have caught that."
Q: So what kind of attack will this prevent, that otherwise might be successful?
A: There are two kinds of hijackers. There's the lone nutcase, like someone who will bring a gun onto a plane because, dammit, they're going to take the whole plane down with them. Any pre-9-11 airport security would catch a person like that.
The second kind is the well-planned, well-financed Al Qaeda-like plot. And nothing can be done to stop someone like that.
It is time for the government and the TSA to get their collective heads out of heads out of their collective butts and take steps that will actually secure us against attack. The fact is, if the explosives have made it inside the airport, Janet, your security plan has already failed.

France comes to America
This is very similar to the protesting going on over in France. In addition, there is very clearly union involvement-look at the pre-printed union protest signs. In France the unions have taken over many cities and are controlling the movements of every individual there. Is that where we are headed?
An exit question for you-I want to know if the young lady complaining around the 2:01 mark is even here legally. You can barely understand her because her accent is so heavy. The fact is California is going bankrupt supporting illegal immigrants who feel entitled to all that America has to offer while contributing nothing and becuase their elected officials have no idea how to run a state effectively. Will they come to the rest of us when they can no longer pay their bills? Well of course they will.

Another ridiculous statement
Palin says she could beat Obama. I disagree.TSA Administrator John Pistole says boycotts of the machines are "irresponsible."
"On the eve of a major national holiday and less than one year after al-Qaeda's failed attack last Christmas Day, it is irresponsible for a group to suggest travelers opt out of the very screening that may prevent an attack using non-metallic explosives," he says. "This technology is not only safe, it's vital to aviation security and a critical measure to thwart potential terrorist attacks."

Michael Steele thinks we don't like him because he's black.....
But last week, in a radio interview with Rev. Al Sharpton, Steele ratcheted up the rhetoric, appearing to agree with Sharpton that if he is not reelected as RNC chairman, it will be because the GOP is racist, making “the brother take the fall.”I have never been a fan of Michael Steele but his inability to identify fundraising opportunities and clearly and firmly articulate actual Republican policy makes him the worst possible choice for the RNC going in to this Presidential election cycle. We do not need a GOP Chairman who thinks abortion is a choice or that the war in Afghanistan is "Obama's war" rather than framing it in true Republican terms. Mr. Steele is a incredibly pathetic leader and has done absolutely nothing to further the standing of the Republican party in the minds of independent voters. We need true leadership who will effectively reach out beyond the echo chamber and begin to help others see the value that the Republicans bring to the table.
Sharpton said he couldn’t believe Republicans would even think of ditching Steele as RNC chair.
“You’d be the first brother run out after doing a good job. It would be interesting to see them have a historic win, and the brother takes the fall. Usually the brother takes the fall when they lose,” Sharpton said.
“You’re right. Well, you know, that’s going to be remain to be seen,” Steele said. “I get it. There are folks who are not exactly thrilled with my style of leadership. As I said recently, ‘they’ll get used to it.’”
Sharpton, who offered to “come march for you, Brother Steele” to Steele’s laughter (“that’s an interesting idea,” he said) was still incredulous.
“I don’t understand how that [firing Steele] could even be in the air. But it is the Republicans,” Sharpton said.
“Yeah,” Steele replied, laughing.

When questioned about the book and calls for a boycott against Amazon began, Amazon released the following statement:
"Amazon does not support or promote hatred or criminal acts, however, we do support the right of every individual to make their own purchasing decisions," the Seattle-based company said in a statement released to TechCrunch and other blogs.Apparently they also want to be sure to support the rights of pedophiles to have a book on how to have relations with children. It is disgusting to find information, by a medium that already preys on innocent children, how to have a "proper" and less horrific relationship available. For Amazon to distribute this information, on a criminal act-illegal in EVERY state-should be a crime in itself. While I have no tolerance for censorship or thought police, to me this would be like publishing a manual on how to effectively rob a bank. It seems if the act is illegal, the publishing of a manual should not be allowed.
It would seem right before the holiday shopping season is to start, this is a very poor move by a retail giant like Amazon. There is no doubt this decision will have repercussions.

Bill Press claims stimulus created (or saved) 3.2 BILLION jobs-thats all the jobs in the world.
Ooo, sorry Bill there are only about 300 MILLION people in the United States and that includes every man, woman and child alive right now. Unless he saved all the jobs everywhere on the entire planet, your point is a blatant lie.
In addition, lets take a quick look at the actual employment numbers-Obama vs. Bush.
According to the BLS's Establishment Survey, there were 132.4 million nonfarm workers in America in January 2001. When Bush left office in January 2009, this number was 133.5 million - a 1.3 million increase.
As just released last Friday, this number is now 130.5 million - a 3 million decrease since Obama was inaugurated.
According to the BLS's Household Survey, there were 137.8 million total workers in January 2001. This number was 142.2 million in January 2009, a 4.4 million increase.
As just released last Friday, this number is now 139.1 million - a 3.1 million decrease since Obama was inaugurated.
As such, depending on which survey you look at, Bush's job creation in his eight years was either 1.3 million or 4.4 million. Both surveys show job losses under Obama at basically 3 million.
So it would seem, even if Press meant to say MILLION he would still be completely WRONG and INACCURATE in is assessment of the spendulous.

Activist L.A. Superior Court Judge, Peter Espinoza, Says Pedophiles Can Live Near Schools, Parks
"The evidence presented suggests that despite lay belief, a sex offender parolee's residential proximity to a school or park where children regularly gather does not bear on the parolee's likelihood to commit a sexual offense against a child," the judge, who supervises the county’s criminal courts, wrote in his order. He also wrote that an increase in homeless sex offenders—supposedly an outcome of the law—would risk public safety."
It should come as no surprise, this is the same Judge who ruled that Roman Polanski was a victim of judicial misconduct by watching a documentary on cable.
He also ordered a man convicted in the execution-style slaying of a high school classmate be released. Due to the gruesome nature of the crime, the governor overturned the murderer’s parole because it would pose an unreasonable risk of danger to society. Espinoza ordered the release anyway.
Activist Judges must be stopped. The continual over-turning of the will of the people-imposing perfectly legal remedies on offenders through the voting process-cannot continue. The protection of the criminal over the victim cannot continue. We must find a way to rid ourselves of those Judges who want to only bastardize the legal process and manipulate the Constitution to suit the criminal offenders.

The Patriot Enclave-show notes: 11-4
The ongoing political onslaught caused irreparable harm. This effort was a clear attempt to cast a shadow over the historic 2008 Presidential election, and set up a far right counter offense. Through those attacks we re-tooled and re-organized. Then again came the right-wing media blitz. This time of edited videos that misrepresented our mission, and consequently misled the public. The pressure and cost of defending ourselves in multiple investigations as a result of the falsified videos has eroded our organization. As a result we will be filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy by close of business today.Wah wah wah...all the way home.

As I’ve said before, no person, no party, has a monopoly on wisdom. And that’s why I’m eager to hear good ideas wherever they come from, whoever proposes them.Really? Isn't this the same guy who said:
You can't have the keys back. You don't know how to drive. You can ride with us if you want, but you got to sit in the backseat. We're going to put middle-class America in the front seat. We're looking out for them.

Al Gore.... hypocrite much?
Recently, Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore toured again. Or maybe he does that all the time. This time, he turned up in Gothenburg (Sweden) for the usual alarmist talk. In advance, all distinguished guests were politely advised to – if possible – use any form of public transportation to go to the event, in order to minimize CO2 emissions.
Intriguingly, the Master of World Climate himself arrived in a rental car (with or without driver is unclear), from the airport, and subsequently left the engine running for the entire lecture. That is to say, about one hour. Incidentally, local legislation prohibits – for very good environmental reasons, i e pollution – any car engine running on empty for more than 60 seconds. Fines are severe. As far as I know, he was not fined.
He also opted to fly in a government plane to Stockholm, rather than take a 4 hour train ride. Finally, the Swedish government flew him to Frankfurt Germany.
I love the smell of hypocrisy from the left.

He then made a play off MSNBC’s "Lean Forward" slogan to disparage the Tea Party movement as he declared: "Vote backward, vote Tea Party."

Face Punch Wednesday
Joy Behar-Last week Joy lost her mind on Bill O'Reily for making a comment about Muslims she didn't agree with, this week she says Sharron Angle is a "bitch" and will "go to hell" for running a campaign ad she doesn't like. She also seems to think voters are uneducated and scared-which is what will cause them to possibly vote Harry Reid out of office. Yes Joy, it has nothing to do with the horrible socialist policies of this administration. It has nothing to do with the 10% unemployment. It has nothing to do with the hostility this governing body has towards its own people. Nope, its none of that Joy, just our plain, dumb ignorance. For finally having lost your mind yet being too stupid to know it 10 punches.
Vivian Schiller-Vivian Schiller and NPR fired Juan Williams this week for comments he made on his feelings on flying with Muslims who choose to dress in full Muslim garb. They claimed Juan's expression of his views did not fit with their journalistic standards. Later in the week she then went on to impune Wlliams' character by suggesting any issues Juan had with Muslims should be worked out between him and his "psychiatrist or publicist". I wonder if those comments fall into the journalistic standards of NPR. I'm sure those standards are quite low and only involve eviscerating those who's words make you feel sad. For not knowing what standards or journalistic integrity is-even if I was to hit you in the face with them 8 punches

Union Thugs, coming to your election in November.
- Halting normal "union operations" and sending 2,000 national union staff and 3,000 local union officials into the field to campaign full time from now until election day;
- Making tens of millions of phone calls attacking pro-Right to Work candidates (23 million already and tens of millions more in the final weeks);
- Sending 4 million pieces of mail every week smearing candidates who oppose Card Check and other union power grabs.
With some of the election corruption talk already coming out of this election, like military ballots that are not going out and voter fraud in a few states, it's important you not let these thugs keep you from voting!

Chevy Volt-the lie from Government Motors
Shocked? Nah, me either.Advertised as an all-electric car that could drive 50 miles on its lithium battery, GM addressed concerns about where you plug the thing in en route to grandma's house by adding a small gasoline engine to help maintain the charge on the battery as it starts to run down. It was still an electric car, we were told, and not a hybrid on steroids.
That's not quite true. The gasoline engine has been found to be more than a range-extender for the battery. Volt engineers are now admitting that when the vehicle's lithium-ion battery pack runs down and at speeds near or above 70 mph, the Volt's gasoline engine will directly drive the front wheels along with the electric motors. That's not charging the battery — that's driving the car.
So it's not an all-electric car, but rather a pricey $41,000 hybrid that requires a taxpayer-funded $7,500 subsidy to get car shoppers to look at it. But gee, even despite the false advertising about the powertrain, isn't a car that gets 230 miles per gallon of gas worth it?
We heard GM's then-CEO Fritz Henderson claim the Volt would get 230 miles per gallon in city conditions. Popular Mechanics found the Volt to get about 37.5 mpg in city driving, and Motor Trend reports: "Without any plugging in, (a weeklong trip to Grandma's house) should return fuel economy in the high 30s to low 40s."

He let himself look too much like “the same old tax-and-spend liberal Democrat.”A fundamental problem with this administration is it's clear lack of understanding that it is NOT that we the people are too stupid to understand, but that we understand all too well.
He realized too late that “there’s no such thing as shovel-ready projects” when it comes to public works.
Perhaps he should not have proposed tax breaks as part of his stimulus and instead “let the Republicans insist on the tax cuts” so it could be seen as a bipartisan compromise.
Most of all, he has learned that, for all his anti-Washington rhetoric, he has to play by Washington rules if he wants to win in Washington. It is not enough to be supremely sure that he is right if no one else agrees with him.

EPA sending YOUR tax dollars to lefty community groups.
Environmental Protection Agency recently listed 76 community groups and government agencies that will share almost 2 million taxpayer dollars in the form of "environmental justice grants."How wonderful that they will spend money teaching people to recycle, and to save a road that leads to the river and to tell people too much concrete in the city is bad and, UGH the list of absurdities goes on and on.
The grants – around $25,000 each -- will fund projects that help people living in poor, minority communities increase recycling, avoid heat stroke, improve indoor air quality, "reduce carbon emissions through weatherization," and participate in "green jobs" training programs.
The EPA must go!

DNC Ad: This week the DNC released an ad claiming Karl Rove and Ed Gillespie of taking foreign money to support Republican candidates. In the ad they claim Republicans are "stealing our democracy. Spending Millions from secret donors" and special interest "to elect Republicans to do their bidding in Congress." Which is so weird considering President Obama was elected with over $400 million dollars of special interest funds and who knows how many dollars in foreign contributions. Pot meet kettle-8 punches.
The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Ad: AFGE has an ad running that is not only absolutely attrocious in quality, but also calls taxpayers (you know, the folks who pay their salaries??) teabaggers. In what is clearly a last ditch effort to derail the impending Republican hailstorm on Dems they are pulling out all the stops....including any that resemble decency or decorum. All your networks are belong to us-Part II-the "Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act of 2010"
The "Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act of 2010" is being sold as a solution to the problem of what to do in the event of a cyber attack that poses an “imminent threat” to the U.S. electrical grid or other critical infrastructure such as the water supply or financial network. Unfortunately for lawmakers, these critical networks are not, never have been, and never will be part of the public Internet-therefore their argument holds no water. The vast majority of security experts and those who actually understand the Internet and networks agree that the most critical networks are in no danger from outside threat. One would need physical access to these systems to do serious harm and this bill would do nothing to prevent that kind of attack. With the creation of new rules, regulations and even a fancy new government agency, the National Center for Cybersecuirty and Communications—NCCC, it is clear this is nothing more than another power grab from this Administration.
This bill would extend unprecedented power to the President and the newly created agency alone, with no oversight by Congress or any need for explanation to the American people. It would also allow the government to designate companies of their choosing as "critical" and those companies would then fall under the complete control of the Obama Administration. "Critical" companies, such as broadband providers or software firms, would be required to“immediately comply with any emergency measure or action developed” by the Department of Homeland Security. It would also require information sharing by these companies with the federal government. Finally, it grants the authority to monitor the “security status” of private sector websites, broadband providers and other internet components. Any business or industry that failed to comply, follow the government dictated standards, or immediately subjugate once a national emergency was declared would then be subject to seizure or shuttering.
This is a bad move for the freedom we currently experience on the Internet. It is unnecessary while also being far too ambiguous and expansive. The true security experts in our community are already developing plans and action items to protect our most critical network infrastructure, the government has no business meddling in this arena.
30 companies get waivers from ObamaCare
From USA Today-
Nearly a million workers won't get a consumer protection in the U.S. health reform law meant to cap insurance costs because the government exempted their employers.
Thirty companies and organizations, including McDonald's (MCD) and Jack in the Box (JACK), won't be required to raise the minimum annual benefit included in low-cost health plans, which are often used to cover part-time or low-wage employees.
The Department of Health and Human Services, which provided a list of exemptions, said it granted waivers in late September so workers with such plans wouldn't lose coverage from employers who might choose instead to drop health insurance altogether.
......
The plans will be exempt from rules intended to keep people from having to pay for all their care once they reach a preset coverage cap. McDonald's, which offers the programs as a way to cover part-time employees, told the Obama administration it might re-evaluate the plans unless it got a waiver.
From The Hill-
Desperate not to violate the president’s pledge that people who like their coverage will be able to keep it, the administration recently granted 30 waivers from annual limit restrictions. Those waivers were quietly posted on the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) website — without drawing attention to the fact that they’re exempting from the law’s patient protections plans that offer some of the weakest coverage.
An administration official said all but one of the requested waivers was granted, but the source was unclear which company was denied. It is also unclear how many waiver requests are pending at HHS.
So that awesome healthcare plan not so awesome I guess. Sadly, we all knew it would happen.

Would you like to sue the Administration over ObamaCare?
From the lawsuit: (PDF)
"All rulings by any Federal Court that leave no appreciable limitations upon Congressional authority clearly destroy the central purpose of the Constitution. All such rulings, therefore, violate the most fundamental canon of legal interpretation. Specifically, all precedent that interprets the Commerce clause or the General Welfare clause of the Constitution as granting Congress essentially unfettered authority to regulate all aspects of human interaction, effectively destroy the most important purpose of the Constitution. Such precedent has eroded the foundations of our Republic, and must be overturned."To date they have about 30,000 signatures. Add your name to the list-think how wonderful it would be to send this petition to the court with 1 million signatures.
