While speaking to William Arkin, the co-author of a new Washington Post investigative piece, Stephanopoulos defended the Obama Administrations handling of national security incidents thus far........How in the world does he reach this conclusion? Well by ignoring any of the blunders and outright poor behavior that has happened in the last 18 months, that's how.
Putting a positive spin on Obama's first 18 months, he trumpeted, "And that if you set aside the Fort Hood bombing in Texas and the failed Christmas bomber, there has not been a major attack that's been anything close to successful on American soil."Well sure, and if we set aside WWI and II and 9/11 and all kinds of other incidents in our history, America has an almost spotless record of not having any war at all. Also, if we put aside that one time when President Clinton......uh, right never mind then.
This idea that if we forget the failings of this Administration that somehow then makes them effective at their job is a mistake. The national security practiced since Obama took office is not only ineffective, it's dangerous and non-existent. They refuse to secure the boarders, they refuse to call terrorists terrorists and when they do find a terrorist involved in terrorism they want to give them all the rights and privileges that go along with being American.
Welcome to America.
