I always knew I liked Morgan Freeman

So this little gem came out on the Dana Show today-so I Googled it real quick.

In 2005 on 60 Minutes Morgan Freeman had an interview with Mike Wallace. They talked about all kind of interesting things, but here is the kicker:
His social and political views are at times surprising and he pulls no punches.

He says he finds Black History Month “ridiculous.”

“You're going to relegate my history to a month?” asks Freeman. “I don't want a Black History Month. Black history is American history,” he says, noting that there are no white or Jewish history months.

How can we get rid of racism?

“Stop talking about it. I'm going to stop calling you a white man,” Freeman says to Wallace. “And I'm going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace. You know me as Morgan Freeman. You wouldn't say, ‘Well, I know this white guy named Mike Wallace.’ You know what I'm sayin’?”

EXACTLY. Thank you. It's a shame the NAACP doesn't listen to you.

  2. Excellent and if all felt the way Morgan Freeman does then we would be able to stop the insanity in Washington because it would be hard to control all Americans, but while we are refered to with a color it just separates us as a people of a nation. Dems love separating us by color and culture. I agree with Morgan.
