A growing number of New York construction workers are vowing not to work on the mosque planned near Ground Zero.Many of the guys lost family and co-workers on 9/11. They have very strong feelings about building on this site-as many around the country do. The hardhats have committed to building a a beautiful, majestic building if the Imam will move it somewhere else. As the other 70% of the people who oppose building this Mosque at ground zero, it is not about the religion, its about the location.
"It's a very touchy thing because they want to do this on sacred ground," said Dave Kaiser, 38, a blaster who is working to rebuild the World Trade Center site.
"I wouldn't work there, especially after I found out about what the imam said about U.S. policy being responsible for 9/11," Kaiser said.
I cannot understand how this group can claim this is a testament to peace and healing yet they have no concern nor regard for the American people and our feelings about that site.
God bless them, and I hope they stick by their guns. This "edifice" that idiot is wanting to build is a slap in the face of all Americans, not just New Yorkers. He (& his wife) say they want to show that Islam is a religion of peace, that they want to build a bridge of peace & understanding among the different religions of this country, and yet he turns around & says if that pastor burns the koran, America could be in for more attacks!! What a blank blank hypocrite!!! It's a blaspheme to erect that "building" at Ground Zero. I cannot see it as anything but a Trojan horse. Waco TX
