Racism or Stupidity

An excellent article written by: WALTER E. WILLIAMS
Excerpts reprinted here:

A black or white person, now dead, who lived during the civil rights struggles of the 1930s, '40s or '50s, might very well be appalled and disgusted by black behavior accepted today.
.........

What about black youngsters who hit the books and study after school instead of hitting the streets? Sometimes they are ridiculed as being incog-negro or acting white and the ridicule is often accompanied with life-threatening physical violence. Many blacks, particularly black males, have arrived at the devastating conclusion that academic excellence is a betrayal of their black identity.

The pathology seen among a large segment of the black population is not likely to change because it's not seen for what it is. It has little to do with slavery, poverty and racial discrimination. Let's look at it.
.........

Intellectuals and political hustlers who blame the plight of so many blacks on poverty, discrimination and the "legacy of slavery" are complicit in the socioeconomic and moral decay. But as Booker T. Washington suggested:

"There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs."

Go read the whole article.

The Office of Congressional Ethics is racist.

Because when black congressmen commit crimes, we should forget about it.
The Waters case also presents a test of the Office of Congressional Ethics, an independent body that takes complaints from the public and chooses which ones to forward to the House ethics committee.

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus have complained that the OCE has unfairly and disproportionately targeted them, and many have signed onto a legislative effort to de-fang the office.

Waters' case was referred to the ethics committee by OCE.

The Union Bailout is flying under the radar-don't take your eye off it!

Democrats in Congress are still looking at the possibility of pushing through a $165 billion bailout for the unions. Named the Create Jobs and Save Benefits Act (S. 3157) it will not create jobs, but only save the union pension funds that were mismanaged and bankrupt by a poorly designed system. The bill is designed to bailout unions’ underfunded pension funds by transferring the liability of those funds onto the backs of the taxpayers.

At the heart of the union pension problem are companies that, in many cases, agreed to put retirement money for union workers into “multi-employer plans” but have since gone out of business. As the unionized workers in multi-employer plans are still entitled to a pension, the remaining employers are left funding the pensions of workers who, in many cases, they never employed.

Over the past few decades, as more and more unionized companies have gone out of business, this ponzi-scheme has only grown, leaving many union pensions severely underfunded—an estimated $165 billion underfunded. Now, with so many plans in critical status, many companies that remain in union multi-employer plans are facing an insurmountable burden that may eventually drive many of them out of business.

So because in most cases unions have run businesses into the ground and union bosses have soaked the regular working guy, receiving all the benefit and leaving nothing, now it is up to the American taxpayer to fix it. While it is unfortunate that there will likely be retired union workers left with nothing if this bailout (or one like it) doesn't take place, keep this in mind.....what happens to a retiree of a non-union company when that company goes out of business. If they have a pension, either that money was truly kept in a "lockbox" account and is safe or that retiree gets bupkus. That the way life works. Sometimes life sucks. Moreover it is not the problem of me to take care of you. Who is going to take care of me?

Of course the truth of the matter is Dems are eying this bill as a way to keep the dolla bill flowing in from the unions to their campaigns. Without those greenbacks how would they finance their need? Indeed, at Netroots Nation, a progressive blogger event, they held a seminar entitled "The Secret Plan to Defeat the Right Forever" where the main topic was Employee Free Choice Act and how that will secure the unions place (and therefore the Democrats) now and into the future.
"Modernizing the nation’s labor law is critical to expanding union membership—which in turn, will ensure conservatives become a permanent minority, as newly-empowered workers actively engage in political action and demand a new way of doing the nation’s business, like creating an economy that rewards Main Street and not just Wall Street. The freedom to form unions and bargain is critical to the progressive movement—when workers have the tools they need to build a better life, they have the power to improve their communities and the solidarity to make progressive political change throughout the nation."

In other words, the Left has been relying on EFCA in order to have one-party rule in America permanently. The problem is, EFCA has been temporarily stalled and now the train-wreck of union pensions is barreling down on the Democrats. In order to save the Democratic Party, they must save the unions (or more specifically, the unionized companies) from failing.
With EFCA stalling right now, the unions have no time to waste. Those pensions, they are a dwindling and they need saving pronto.

Don't take your eye off the ball. With all the talk of racism and Tea Party and all things distracting, these are the issue we cannot forget.

To stop oil spills, we must kill the energy sector with taxes and fees.

It is expected Congress will vote on the Consolidated Land, Energy, and Aquatic Resources Act of 2010 (CLEAR Act). This Act is creates a brand new slush fund for lawmakers to use for pet projects that have nothing to do with oil spills, energy or "Aquatic Resources" whatever those are.....

Nothing like not letting a crisis go to waste. Rather than actually finding out what went wrong and what might prevent tragedies like this from occurring again, it is way better to investigate the situation without actually investigating anything (the blowout preventer still lies on the ocean floor) and coming up with solutions by talking to policy makers rather than petroleum and drilling experts. When protecting the President and incompetent policy-makers is your priority, there is no need for an independent, qualified committee to review the events that lead up to the catastrophe to start with.

Rep. Doc Hastings (R-Wash.), top Republican on the Natural Resources Committee said the Obama’s administration’s commission was set up to protect the President.

“By deleting the bipartisan, independent oil spill commission that’s received bipartisan support in both House and Senate committees, Democrats have shown they are more interested in protecting the President than getting independent answers to what caused this tragic Gulf spill. Some of the biggest failures that contributed to the Gulf disaster are the direct responsibility of the federal government and by deleting this bipartisan, independent commission, Democrats ensure that only the President’s hand-picked commission will be digging into any failures of his own Interior Department appointees. There is widespread agreement that no member of the President’s commission possesses technical expertise in oil drilling, and several are on the record in opposition to offshore drilling and support a moratorium that will cost thousands of jobs,” Hastings said.

The bill also sets up myriad regulations and new standards and laws for drilling that have nothing to do with offshore drilling.

“Even more outrageous is this bill’s attempt to use the oil spill tragedy as leverage to enact totally unrelated policies and increase federal spending on unrelated programs by billions of dollars. What does a solar panel in Nevada, a wind turbine in Montana, uranium for nuclear power, or a ban on fish farming have to do with the Gulf spill? Nothing -- but the spill is a good excuse to try and pass otherwise stalled or unpopular new laws,” Hastings said.

It is no surprise the Dems would use this crisis as an opportunity to push their unpopular legislation and the green agenda they have worked so hard on, but thus far have been largely unsuccessful in passing. It is unfortunate they are determined to kill off an entire industry in the worst economic times we have seen in years. But, just like their manipulation of the report on what the moratorium on off-shore drilling would do to the economy, I'm sure they have manipulated any report on the financial impact this legislation would have too.

Like any other legislation being rammed through these days there are all kinds of other goodies in there, that we won't know anything about until it is passed.

From the Republicans:

- Imposes job-killing changes and higher taxes for onshore natural gas and oil production. It fundamentally changes leasing onshore by the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management, which affects not just leasing for natural gas and oil, but also for renewable energy including wind and solar. Forest Service and BLM leasing are shoved into the three new agencies that are replacing the former Minerals Management Service (MMS).

- Creates over $30 billion in new mandatory spending for two programs that have nothing to do with the oil spill (the Land and Water Conservation Fund and the Historic Preservation Fund). In the version of the bill headed to the House floor, Democrats added brand new language that expressly allows this $30 billion to be earmarked by the Appropriations Committee.

- Raises taxes by over $22 billion in ten years – with the taxes eventually climbing to nearly $3 billion per year. This is a direct tax on natural gas and oil that will raise energy prices for American families and businesses, hurt domestic jobs, and increase our dependence on foreign oil. This tax only applies to U.S. oil and gas production on federal leases – giving an advantage to foreign oil and hurting American energy jobs.

- Requires the federal takeover of state authority to permit in state waters, which reverses sixty years of precedent. The mismanagement, corruption and oversight failures of the federal government are being used as justification to expand federal control by seizing management from the states.

- Allows 10% of all offshore revenues – an amount possibly as high as $500 million per year – to be spent on a new fund controlled by the Interior Secretary to issue ocean research grants (ORCA fund). There is no requirement that the fund is used for the Gulf region or anything related to oil spills or offshore drilling. These funds can be earmarked.

Well all of those things sound like steps to prevent another terrible environmental disaster. Especially the part where the justification for more government take over is the failure of government to do their job right in the first place. As has become par for the course, the only way this Administration can deal with mismanagement and poor choices, is more money and regulation.

There is little to nothing in this bill that will actually remedy the situation in the Gulf and there is nothing in this bill that is going to make better.

“This bill has less to do with preventing another spill than it does preventing domestic energy production,” Cassidy said.
That about sums it up folks. There is your government at work for you.

Dems racing to repeal 1099 requirement from healthcare travesty.

Now its a race between Dems and Republicans to repeal a very burdensome and ludicrous requirement of the healthcare sham perpetrated on small business. Somehow, as part of the healthcare bill, there was a requirement for all business to begin reporting on 1099's ALL transactions conducted with ANY business, in excess of $600. This is an accounting and administrative nightmare, the likes of which cannot possibly be imagined. Rep. Scott Murphy (D-NY) offered a bill on Friday morning that would repeal just this part of the healthcare bill. This move was in direct response to Republicans threatening to offer up similar legislation and attach it to the jobs bill last Thursday.
For the first time, House Democrats are proposing repealing a piece of the health care overhaul, one that small businesses have been warning is going to be overly burdensome. The move comes just four months after the Democrats' health plan passed in March. The provision would have required businesses to file 1099 tax forms for all transactions with vendors that total over $600.
Funny enough, the only reason Dems are even looking at repealing this is so Republicans won't be seen as having any kind of win on the repeal of healthcare. Hey, I don't care what it takes to get rid of this stupid and idiotic requirement-I'll take it.

DOJ crys fowl on expedited appeal request for AZ law

What a bunch of jerk-offs. They rush through their request for a hearing on AZ SB1070 then cry fowl when those appealing the initial finding do the same.
Arizona has requested that the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals set an expedited briefing schedule which would have the case fully briefed in just over one month. This is about half the time normally allotted for briefing in appeals from a preliminary injunction.

The U.S. Department of Justice has just filed an opposition to the motion, arguing that the regular schedule should be followed, which would not have the case fully briefed until October 7, 2010. DOJ stated that it did not want its usual 28 day time period shortened, even if Arizona shortened its own time for briefing.
Y'all better learn how this stuff works.

Memo Details Obama Administration Plan for Executive Action Amnesty

In an 11-page memo released this week by the USCIS there is information on how this Administration might go about granting amnesty to many of the 11-18 million illegal immigrants. This amnesty would be achieved by executive order and a loosening of the "hardship" requirements to allow millions more seek and be granted legal immigrant status.
"[The memo].....drafted by Chief of Policy and Strategy for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Denise Vanison, outlines the various ways to offer a mass amnesty to the nation's 11-18 million illegal aliens through the use of administrative actions. The stated purpose of the memo is to offer "administrative relief options to promote family unity, foster economic growth, achieve significant process improvements and reduce the threat of removal for certain individuals present in the United States without authorization."

"The memo proposes 18 different ways for the Obama Administration to essentially eliminate our borders through regulatory fiat and in clear violation of the letter and the spirit of U.S. immigration laws, which Obama swore an oath to faithfully execute," said NumbersUSA's Director of Government Relations Rosemary Jenks.
There are several other provisions in this memo being considered to pave the road to amnesty including, allowing aliens with Temporary Protected Status to adjust their status to Legal Permanent Resident, extending "grace periods" to leave the country for aliens on temporary work visas, changing the distribution time line for temporary workers on the H-2B visa, and granting up to 240 additional days on applications for employment authorization when the application is filed before the work authorization expiration date.

It would seem no matter the cost to America, her people or her laws, there are some who will bypass what the majority of Americans want to further their agenda. We passed massive amnesty under Reagan, which only caused more illegals to come here. There are many things that must be done to improve the immigration process for those who wish to come here, but granting amnesty to lawbreakers over and over is not the answer.

Oil spill disappearing in the Gulf: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/28/us/28spill.html?_r=1&partner=rss&emc=rss

The immense patches of surface oil that covered thousands of square miles of the gulf after the April 20 oil rig explosion are largely gone, though sightings of tar balls and emulsified oil continue here and there.

Reporters flying over the area Sunday spotted only a few patches of sheen and an occasional streak of thicker oil, and radar images taken since then suggest that these few remaining patches are quickly breaking down in the warm surface waters of the gulf.

Face Punch Wednesday

Chris Matthews-Paul Ryan was on Hardball this week being grilled by Chris Matthews on what Republicans would do to help the economy. First, Chris said that Paul Ryans suggestion to cut $4.8 trillion out of the budget was only going to amount to one-three hundredth of the deficit......uh, does Chris own a calculator? Then when Ryan was able to give specifics and actually name things he would cut from the budget, Chris says this: "OK. Congressman Crowley, I still don`t see any cuts in entitlements there. But go ahead." He didn't ask for cuts in entitlements, he asked for deficit reduction. For not being smart enough to fool a paper-bag into carrying a sandwich 6 punches.

Al Franken-Al is afraid of Darrell Issa. "Darrell Issa is planning to double his staff," Franken said, "and embark on a witch hunt in hopes of bringing down the Obama administration." Apparently Franken is not aware that A) when the minority in power becomes the majority, they always double their staff while the losers half theirs and B) Issa is the ranking Republican on the House Committee on OVERSIGHT and Government Reform......which would indicate it is his JOB to have oversight over what the government is doing. Al Franken couldn't possibly be a bigger douche bag. This is what you get when felons are allowed to pick who will be in the Senate. For not understanding the difference between a witch hunt and someones JOB 8 punches.

Susan Jacoby-Susan Jacoby, writer for the Washington Post, took on the intelligence of the American people this weekend. More specifically she took on the intelligence of people who believe in the sanctity of life and their desire to protect it, claiming "That this representative of pure ignorance, retrograde religion, and class envy is being taken seriously at all speaks volumes about the dumbing down of America." She attacked Sarah Palin and her daughter because they chose NOT to have abortions; apparently this offends Ms. Jacoby beyond all reason. How dare they make a choice and that that choice was to keep their babies, not kill them. I thought PRO-ABORTIONISTS believed in choice, but it seems not. It seems they only believe in abortion. It's really too bad Ms. Jacoby's mother didn't exercise her right to have an abortion-10 punches.

OH NOES!!!!! Illegal immigrants leaving Arizona in droves.....

Well that's the best news I've had all day. The illegals are leaving Arizona in droves because they are scared what will happen.

NBC Reporter Discovers New Immigration Law Causing Illegals to Leave Arizona

Finding more victims, Weir highlighted a man who “has been in Phoenix without papers for 14 years, but says now he's afraid to walk the streets. So he'll take his family and leave as soon as he can.” So the law is already working.

Weir's whimpering came two nights after Sunday's World News (NB item) where ABC anchor Dan Harris set up a story framed around the same agenda of Arizona law antagonists: “Many Hispanics, both legal and illegal, are already heading for the borders. And there's a heated debate over whether that will cost the state more than it saves.” Barbara Pinto zeroed in on a woman who “worries about the quiet exodus – immigrant families already leaving the state in droves” and how “apartment building owner Rollie Rankin is hurting already.”

Weir's take was reminiscent of a CBS Evening News story from back on May 3 (NB's recitation), when Katie Couric noted that “hundreds of thousands” of illegal aliens live in Arizona, “but as Kelly Cobiella reports, many no longer feel welcome.” As if that were a bad thing.
Meh. I'm ok with it. I see that headline and read "A bunch of lawbreakers are going somewhere else to break the law."

Also, if the truly legal are leaving, well they are clearly uniformed. They don't need to worry or leave. They have been lied to and scared by the media propagating untruths about what exactly will happen when the law is enacted. If they don't want to find out for themselves, then I don't have a ton of sympathy for them.

Mexican Authorities now patroling on Staten Island?

Apparently, crimes against Hispanics are becoming a big problem on Staten Island.

Five men attacked the 40-year-old Mexican man Friday night as he was walking home after a soccer game at Faber Park, cop said. The attackers allegedly pummeled him while yelling anti-Mexican epithets. The man suffered head trauma, a fractured jaw and needed ten stitches above his eye, officials said.

The group of men made off with his backpack.

This is at least the sixth violent, ethnically-charged incident that has taken place in the neighborhood since April, and community leaders are urging residents to remain alert.

That's terrible and I hope they catch these guys, but I'm wondering: what authority do the Mexican Officials have in New York?
According to the Advance, this latest incident has promoted the Mexican Consulate to post personnel in Staten Island until further notice. This move is an effort to safeguard the rights of individuals and effectively assist and provide information to the Mexican residents of this area.
Do we get the same latitude when our citizens are attacked or kidnapped and killed while visiting Mexico? Have they been trained in American laws and our legal system? I'm not sure I like officials from other countries coming here and meddling in our legal process.

What is perhaps most disturbing is this thought that Mexican Officials need to be on Staten Island to "safeguard the rights of individuals". I'm not sure what rights they are safeguarding as opposed to those protected by our own police. Violent crimes go unsolved everyday in this country. Why are the Hispanics in New York getting their own special protection?

Visualizing ObamaCare....you might need some glasses.

Here is ObamaCare for you to feast your eyes and twist your brain.

In addition to capturing the massive expansion of government and the overwhelming complexity of new regulations and taxes, the chart portrays:

* $569 billion in higher taxes;
* $529 billion in cuts to Medicare;
* swelling of the ranks of Medicaid by 16 million;
* 17 major insurance mandates; and
* the creation of two new bureaucracies with powers to impose future rationing: the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute and the Independent Payments Advisory Board.

Brady admits committee analysts could not fit the entire health care bill on one chart. “This portrays only about one-third of the complexity of the final bill. It’s actually worse than this.”

Ed Schultz too stupid to think up something new to bash Fox with.

Howard Dean and Ed Schultz had a good time on Monday's edition of The Ed Show, bashing Fox News-accusing them of being racists, pushing the "false" story of the NBPP voter intimidation charges and attacking Andrew Breitbart calling him a "slant head". All of this is very interesting. While the left implodes and loses the American people at every turn, they can only rely on lies and innuendo to push a meme that has run its course.
Appearing as a guest on Monday’s The Ed Show on MSNBC, former DNC chairman Howard Dean renewed his discredited claim that FNC had played clips of former USDA official Shirley Sherrod before her forced resignation, and suggested that Fox News Sunday anchor Chris Wallace had deceived him in denying that there was FNC coverage before her firing. Dean: "I happen to like Chris Wallace, but he was really not being exactly accurate when he talked about ‘we didn`t say one word about this before the Secretary of Agriculture fired her.’ The fact of the matter is they were pushing this story very, very hard all day. It may be true that they didn`t mention her name, but they sure did run the tape without mentioning her name."

Earlier in the show, host Ed Schultz had played the clip of Wallace correcting Dean’s assertions about FNC from the previous day’s Fox News Sunday. Wallace: "I know facts are inconvenient things, but let`s try to deal with the facts. The fact is that the Obama administration fired or forced Shirley Sherrod to quit before her name had ever been mentioned on Fox News Channel."

After Dean’s claims about FNC showing the Sherrod video, Schultz followed up by asking if Fox News is "racist in what they do," leading Dean to answer in the affirmative and to accuse Fox News of "inflaming racial hatred"

Howard Dean is an idiot who has no clue as to what the actual truth is and people like him and Schultz can't get over the fact the this ADMINISTRATION threw Shirley Sherrod under the bus. This ADMINISTRATION is who fired Sherrod, not Fox News or Andrew Breitbart. Even if this line of idiocy were true, the fact remains that from a group of folks who claim to be so smart and so much better than everyone else in this country, there couldn't be more stupidity. There was no doubt in the original clip what Shirley Sherrod was about, clearly no one in the White House bothered to watch the whole thing.

Howard then sums up his ignorance by saying Fox news was promoting racism.

"(Fox) .......pushing a theme of black racism with this phony Black Panther crap and this business, and Sotomayor and all this other stuff."

Finally they both jump the shark claiming Fox shows are "run by bullies" and that "They (Fox) play the race card every chance they possibly can." The irony here is that Fox is never the one playing the race card. Fox is defending conservatives, Republicans and the American people against the left who can't stop playing the race card at every turn.

Seriously. Get a clue.

Now they will issue a moratorium on barges.

A boat has crashed into another oil well in the Gulf, causing a new oil leak-just as they were getting the Deep Water Horizon under control.
The US Coast Guard dispatched emergency teams Tuesday after a boat crashed into an oil well off the coast of New Orleans, reportedly sending crude spewing some 20 feet into the air.

The wellhead, located about 65 miles (104 kilometers) south of New Orleans, was ruptured when it was struck by a dredge barge being pulled by a tug.

Look out folks, no doubt this administration will fire the barge captain and issue a moratorium on all barges for 6 months.

Massachusetts votes to bypass Electoral College system

Following in the footsteps of Illinois, New Jersey, Hawaii, Maryland, and Washington-Massachusetts has passed legislation ensuring the winner of the popular vote will be the winner of all their Electoral College votes. To bypass the Electoral system-not to mention the Constitution-is a direct violation of the Republic and a system that has worked well for the past 234 years.

Under the law, which was enacted by the House last week, all 12 of the state's electoral votes would be awarded to the candidate who receives the most votes nationally.

Supporters are campaigning, state by state, to get such bills enacted. Once states accounting for a majority of the electoral votes (or 270 of 538) have enacted the laws, the candidate winning the most votes nationally would be assured a majority of Electoral College votes. That would hold true no matter how the other states vote and how their electoral votes are distributed.

What the liberals in this country fail to understand is the Electoral College was meant to give all states equal weigh in deciding how our country will be run and who will run it. This is not a pure Democracy and for good reason. States like California have many more people in it and would hold more power than a state like Massachusetts if a system like this were to pass.

Here is the liberal left trying anything they can to bypass our Constitution any way they can. If they can't get the majority to agree with them, they will circumvent the proper way to do things-such as a Constitutional Amendment-and force their way through at all costs.

Apparently Chris Matthews is deaf or stupid

Chris Matthews asks Paul Ryan (R-Wisc) what he would cut from the deficit to reduce spending and Ryan answers. Chris says he doesn't hear anything about cuts. WTF? You're an idiot.

Watch for yourself.

Interview from Right Online 2010-Robert McDowell FCC Chairman

Here is the video of my interview with FCC Chairman Robert McDowell. We discussed Net Neutrality and the dangers of allowing it to pass in it's current form.

Part One:

Part Two:

Thanks to Brian at RockinConservative for filming this interview for me!

CNN wants bloggers muzzled, yet they can lie any time they want.

Well isn't this an interesting position to take considering what the media did to Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin, Joe the Plumber, Tea Party and even now, what they are doing to Andrew Breitbart.

They are right on one count-those who continually report false information, without credible sources, perpetuating rumor and innuendo should be persecuted in the court of public opinion.

It is ridiculous to insinuate that it is more egregious an offense to rip someone to shreds if you are anonymous. These "reporters" have been the worst purveyors of lies and smears over the last several years and never more so than during the last Presidential election cycle.

Once again, it is important to note, Shirley Sherrod was not a victim of Andrew Breitbart. Shirley Sherrod was a victim of the Obama administration and their willingness to throw people under the bus at the tip of a hat. This idea that we need "gatekeepers" controlling bloggers is ludicrous. My answer to that is who is the gatekeeper for "journalists"? In all this era of smears passed off as the Nightly News with Katie Couric and trash they continually pedal, I would suggest to these fools they might want to reconsider all this talk about "gatekeepers" and legal action.

Keith Olbermann needs your love and support

With all the deliciousness coming out of the JournoList stuff, this was but one tiny gem that I just couldn't pass up: Everybody hates Keith Olbermann, even the left and now apparently his staff.

First a little of the fun stuff from JournoList:
"He's become O'Reilly on the left- completely predictable, unfunny, and arrogant," said Georgetown University Professor Michael Kazin in May 2009. "To my mind, what they do is no different form Hannity and O'Reilly," said the New America Foundation's Michael Cohen, "At least Hannity and O'Reilly engage with the other side (if mainly just to yell at them). Olbermann is just an echo chamber."
...
Julian Zelizer, a Princeton professor and CNN contributor, said Olbermann's root problem is his misogyny. "I can't take him anytime. I think to write off his mysogyny (sic) as limited to Musto is just not accurate. That very much defined much of how he talked about Clinton as well as others."
....
The Washington Independent's Spencer Ackerman said a brutal parody of Olbermann reflected his true nature. "I hate both Ben Affleck and Saturday Night Live, but this should end all debate about the merits of Olbermann," he said, linking to the parody.
Now the news just got even better. Even his own staff can't stand him.
Now that we're having fun at Olbermann's expense, let's turn up the volume with what TVNewser reported Thursday:
MSNBC just announced that Greg Kordick who had been Senior Producer on "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" is moving with his boss, Izzy Povich, to Lawrence O'Donnell's new 10pmET program, set to launch in the fall.
Kordick will EP the show. It was announced Monday that Povich would be Senior EP.

Aww, poor Keith. Won't you send him some love today.

Harry Reid mistakingly thinks the Auto Bailout saved Ford.

Wow, nothing like taking credit for something you had absolutely nothing to do with. This week Harry Reid gives the governement credit for the fact that Ford Motors is doing so well.

SEN. HARRY REID (D-NV): "Isn't it a good thing today in America that we have an automobile manufacturing sector? If it had been up to them [Republicans], General Motors would be gone. If it were up to them, Ford Motor Company would probably be gone. Chrysler definitely would be gone."

Ford did not take any bailout money from the government.
Um, no Harry, Ford is successful because they cut back, planned ahead and toughed it out during the worst times. They are also doing well because the people like a company that takes care of itself rather than one that takes a handout.

John Kerry predicts "ice free" arctic in 10-20 years

Because he is a total tool........

What a douche bag.

I guess that's what happens when the earth is several million degrees just below the surface........

Didn't we debunk this Global Warming crap?

Shirley Sherrod-truth is not defamation sweetie.

It should come as no surprise Shirley Sherrod is now thinking of a lawsuit against Andrew Breitbart and would like to see Big Government shut down.

What a surprise....this from the same woman who sued the government for $13 million dollars and then mysteriously was hired by them two weeks later. This from the woman who said the things she said, whether she likes to admit it or not-and I have news for all those liberal bloggers out there-I watched that video when it was first posted to Breitbart's site, the context was clear. If you had watched the whole 7 minutes (or so) you would have gotten right the first time. It doesn't change the fact that she was the one admitting to determining how much she would help the farmer (originally) based on the color of his skin.

Shirley Sherrod-get a clue. Free speech is free speech. Just because this Administration is too stupid to do their homework-where, oh where, have we seen that before-that isn't Breitbart's problem.

Rick Sanchez might want to check his own tapes before trashing Fox.

Tonight on CNN Rick Sanchez ripped Fox News, Andrew Breitbart and Bill O'Reiley apart for running with the Shirley Sherrod accusations without substantial proof; for running a story without a 'reliable source'.

I'm wondering though....what 'reliable source' did Sanchez use when he started spreading the viscous lie that Sarah Palin might be pregnant again?
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has just announced that she will be resigning the governorship on July 26th. The shocking decision has led to fierce speculation that she's paving the way for a run at the Presidency in 2012, but CNN's Rick Sanchez has another theory:

There have been a couple other situations that might cause someone to feel a lot of stress. But aside from those, is there anything going on with her that perhaps may lead her to want to make this decision, and the one thing that's still left out there is, hey, could she be pregnant again.

Reporter Candy Crowley quickly answered, "Well, I certainly don't know the answer to that last thought."
I'm also curious if he apologized when it became obvious she was not?

Hmm, how about when he accused Fox News of bringing about the murder of three police officers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
"That weekend tragedy involves a man who allegedly shot and killed three police officers in cold blood. Why? Because he was convinced, after no doubt watching Fox News and listening to right-wing radio, that quote, 'Our rights were being infringed upon.'"
Rick Sanchez might want to check himself before excoriating Fox News for the way they handle their reporting on news.

(AUDIO) Alan Grayson-douche bag. This is just typical class warfare perpetuated all the time by folks like Grayson. At one point he even says that Republicans “clip coupons and live off dividends” WTF? Apparently Mr. Grayson thinks only Democrats are unemployed. No Mr. Grayson, you guys have decimated the economy well enough-everyone is unemployed.

BREAKING: Missouri ACORN assults Chase Bank Branch

These people need to get a clue.

Predatory lender? Really. I want proof Chase unfairly did something to ONE of these people.

Face Punch Wednesday

(If you are new to Face Punch Wednesday, please read this post before you complain-I don't want to hear it.)

Oliver Stone: Oliver Stone told a group of Central London journalists we should 'nationalize' the oil industry. He went on the say he felt we shouldn't make money off of oil, health care, war or prisons. I'd just like to point out this advice is coming from a man who has made millions...even billions off the American people. It's always interesting to see the far left and their criticism of the American way, when it has been so good to them. Finally, I know Obama loves the leftist loons in Hollywood more than anything else in the world-as for the rest of us, we don't much care what you idiots think. For taking cash money with one hand and smacking the proverbial nose of the rest of American public with the other 7-punches

The Main Sisters-Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine voted today to extend unemployment benefits to the chronically unemployed. This bill will extend jobless benefits to folks who have been unemployed for more than 6 months and will extend those benefits through November. The fools who insist on doing this just don't get it-YOU are exacerbating the problem of unemployment and causing it to go on ad infinitum when you continually have a safety net there for folks who have been out of work this long. In the vast majority of cases folks who have been out of work for more than 6-months refuse to take a "lesser" job than they feel they are qualified for. Also, the money we are using is borrowed money which begs these two conundrums-First, why should we as a nation be on the hook for a loan because you are out of work? How about if you just go get your own loan and leave us out of it. Second, how ironic is it that those who killed off the jobs with their policies are now pushing cradle to grave entitlement for those without work. For not understanding what it takes to make an economy run 10 punches (double-mint style)

Matt Lauer-Suddenly Matt Lauer is quite the math whiz and deficit hawk. Today while interviewing Newt Gingrich he began to challenge Newt that the Bush tax cuts added to the deficit and that is no different than adding to the deficit by extending unemployment benefits. Apparently Matt is too much of a tool to realize when you cut taxes-especially to business-those folks use money to CREATE ADDITIONAL WEALTH-you know by hiring people and making investments in their businesses, which in turn adds to the revenue the Federal Government gets to collect. Unemployment benefits just cost. That's all they do. They don't increase spending, they don't increase jobs and they sure as hell don't increase tax revenues to the government. Matt must have nicked the math center in his brain the last time he shved his head. For just being a tooly, tool-6 punches.
