New Reagan Revolution-The NEW Operation Coffee Cup

One of the most tireless and dedicated freedom fighters I know, Jeff Reynolds, has launched a new initiative this week on his web site New Reagan Revolution. Reviving an old concept, "Operation Coffee Cup", with a new twist. The idea is to get folks to come together, looking to the timeless words and wisdom of Ronald Reagan, and get them to send a "Coffee Cup Message" to their elected officials, reminding them that we have no interest in socialized medicine.

I know that we feel deflated, frustrated, tired, and outraged that our elected officials have abjectly refused to listen to us, and they are plunging headlong into forcing socialized medicine upon the American people. And I know that everyone I speak to wants to send a message.

I say that we encourage every concerned citizen to send each of their representatives a Coffee Cup, with a message inside from http://www.newreaganrevolution.com/ reminding them who they work for and why what they're doing will destroy our country.

Each coffee cup will say, "Reagan was right then ... and he's STILL right today!" Inside each cup will be the text of Reagan's talk from his seminal AMA LP record from 1961.
Here's how you do this:

Visit the New Reagan Revolution Storefront

• Order cups one at a time, not several at once.
  FOR THE SHIPPING ADDRESS, ENTER THE ADDRESS OF YOUR ELECTED OFFICIAL. (Senator mailing addresses here) (House of Reps mailing addresses here)
• Repeat as many times as you like until all the representatives you want to get the message are included.
• If you like it, don't forget to order one for yourself or a liberal friend.
• Important note - as of the launch of this operation (Dec 1, 2009), shipping times will be approximately 2-3 weeks. This will coincide with the height of the floor debate in the Senate, and the operation will continue if/when a bill is passed and needs to be reconciled in conference committee with the House bill. As this operation ramps up, shipping times are expected to be greatly reduced.

Send Reid and Pelosi those coffee cups. Maybe a some real wisdom will get inside their heads if we can force feed it to them through their coffee.

Today in St. Louis the organization MyConservativeGroup put on a Rolling Tea Party, driving a 50 mile loop through South and West St. Louis County. It was a beautiful day for a lovely drive. Over 30 cars showed up, decorated and ready to go:





There were messages protesting too much spending and the poor healthcare bill:









It took about 30 minutes for us to get assembled and ready to go. Brian Bollmann armed with a megaphone and a great attitude got the crowd fired up.

Dave McArthur even came by and said a few words of encouragement before we took off. I have video of both of them speaking. It will be up a little later.

We even had one lone protester.



He wanted to debate kool-aid facts with the people, so I obliged him. Here are the highlights:



The Rolling Tea Party made the trek from South St. Louis County, heading north on Lindbergh Blvd, then West down Olive, East on Manchester Rd. and finally coming full circle back to Lindbergh Blvd. Stopping in the Home Depot parking lot where we had started. Throughout the entire trip we had folks honking and waving, it was really great to see so many. They knew the message. They knew why we were there.

The Rolling Tea Party was a great success. It was the first major event put on by MyConservativeGroup and it was fantastic! Those taking part were approached by strangers in parking lots where we pulled over for breaks along the route and most-if not all-were in total support. The folks are really starting to get it. Through the efforts of groups like MyConservativeGroup, St. Louis Tea Party, I Heard the People Say and countless others-all with their scores of hard working grassroots activists, we are getting the message out. People are taking notice. We are making a difference.

Al Gore speaking in Oregon-Come on out & give him a real GRASSROOTS welcome!

Al Gore will be traveling to Oregon next week, giving another long winded speech about his fake cause of global war.....I mean climate change. I wonder if he'll ignore questions from the audience again. Probably. Most of the time he doesn't even take questions.

Thank goodness we have common sense organizations like Americans for Prosperity and the tireless grassroots to combat lies and half truths being spread on this issue. Conservatives are ineffective, but we can't stop talking about them

I was just sitting here thinking how annoyed I am that it looks like my real life is going to interfere with my ability to participate in the rallies against the Pelosi Healthcare Bill at a local Representatives office. (Or in D.C. of you can do it.) I had rearranged my day once to go, but alas, it looks as though my revenue stream has a stronger will than my activism stream today.

I started thinking about the importance and effectiveness of participation. We have all put a ton of time in. We are unbending in our belief. We are untiring in our participation. We are determined to see this thing through to the end. Every time the call goes out-we are there. Conservatives have taken the act of activism and protest to a whole new level.

But, what I thought was really funny is how the media and libs are portraying the effectiveness of all our efforts. The thing about it is, they paint it in anyway it suits their agenda-so the result is they end up talking out of both side of their mouth.

When a million people show up in D.C ,they say no one came and no one cares because we are just a bunch of crazy people.

When we rail against our own party for nominating a liberal to fill a Republican seat in New York and the true conservative loses, they say they won.

When we win in New Jersey and Virginia, they say those races are unimportant.

The thing is-if the results had been opposite-if they had won the New Jersey or Virginia or lost the New York seat, the reporting would have been just the opposite. They want to decry our effectiveness, but they have to change the story every time to make it right for them. If we win they call us ineffective, they didn't want to win that battle anyway. If we lose they call us ineffective, that's the battle they were really going after. Hmm, a phrase about having cake and eating it too comes to mind.

Keep fighting kids-you've got them on the run. No matter what happens, we must NEVER back down. We must NEVER give up. We will prevail in the end, because we are strong.

BREAKING-American Flags BANNED at apartment complex in Albany, Oregon

Residents at the Oaks Apartments in Albany Ore. have been told they cannot fly flags any more. The rule seems to apply to any flag, however they have also been told " the American flag symbolizes problems. " Problems? Really? Here in America, our own flag causes problems. Listen up kids, flags don't cause problems, people cause problems.

Jim Clausen flies the American flag from the back of his motorcycle. He has a son in the military heading back to Iraq, and the flag - he said - is his way of showing support.
"This flag stands for all those people," said Clausen, an Oaks Apartment resident. "It stands for the people that can no longer stand - who died in wars. That's why I fly this flag."
But to Oaks Apartment management, Clausen said, the American flag symbolizes problems.
He was told to remove the red, white and blue from both of his rides, or face eviction. "It floored me," he said. "I can't believe she was saying what she was saying."
Even long-time residents like Sharron White, who has flown a flag on her car for eight years, has been told to take it down.
White said management told her that "someone might get offended."
"I just said to her 'They'll just have to get over it," White said.

It is unconscionable to me that anyone who lives in this country would be offended by the site of the American flag. THIS IS AMERICA. If you are uncomfortable around our flag.......close your eyes. It would be like someone saying to me "I am offended by brown hair. Shave your head." Err, well dude, that's the color of my hair. Sorry.

This just smacks of the same crap Debbie McLucas from Arlington had to deal with. First, she was told to take down her flag because it was offensive. Then after it received a bunch of press she was told she could have had a a flag all along, it just had to be smaller. Yeah. Right.

A side note: at the end of the story the reporter tells us that the ACLU says the flag ban is not a violation of residents rights because it is private property. I bet if it were Muslim paraphernalia the ACLU would be all over it.
